These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Plinq, a browser extension and web service for managing branded hyperlinks (the "Service"), operated by Plinq ("we," "our," or "us"). By installing the extension, creating an account, or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Plain-English Summary: Use Plinq for legitimate business purposes. Don't use it to send spam, host illegal content, or break the law. We can suspend accounts that abuse the Service. We do our best to keep Plinq running but can't promise zero downtime. If you don't like the Terms, don't use Plinq.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Plinq. If you are using Plinq on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Plinq is a Chrome extension and web service that lets you save, organize, and copy branded hyperlinks as rich-text for use in email, messaging, and document apps. The paid "Pro" plan adds optional click tracking and analytics on links you create.

3. Accounts

You may create an account using a valid email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate, current information and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

6. Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you save in Plinq (your links, anchor text, folder names, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and serve that content for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for any other purpose.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that the URLs and anchor text you save do not infringe any rights or violate any laws.

7. Our Intellectual Property

The Plinq name, logo, software, design, and all related materials are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except as expressly stated.

8. Termination

You may stop using Plinq at any time by uninstalling the extension and (optionally) deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay for a Pro subscription, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We may retain backup copies of data as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any defects will be corrected. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Plinq, its operators, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Plinq from any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the extension, by email, or by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fairfax County, Virginia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
